Kiel Johnson is an American sculptor and painter that creates a lot of his work using cardboard. Among his works are a collection of cardboard cameras that look quite stunning. My favorite part is that the camera straps are actually created with cardboard as well. Next step would be to get these fully functioning. That would be a gallery I would go see. Behind the Scenes of a Grammy Nominated Stop Motion Music Video
The stop motion music video for Oren Lavie‘s song “Her Morning Elegance” took the web by storm last year, amassing over ten million views on YouTube and receiving a Grammy nomination.
Sony just announced a new video camera that’s quite a worthy challenger to the Flip Video. The Bloggie Touch replaces the original Bloggie video camera and boasts a much sleeker design (dropping the swiveling LCD), a 3-inch touchscreen, 4 to 8 GB of internal memory, 1080p HD video recording, and 12.8 megapixel photographs. Like the Flip, it’s designed for quick and easy photos and videos on the go, and can connect to computers via a built-in USB connector.
At first glance, it appears to be missing an audio in jack and a tripod screw mount? Either way, I think it is an amazing design and can’t wait to get my hands on one to play around with.
It’ll be available starting in October for $180 to $200 depending on how much space you need.

Flickr user joey_joey_joey wanted to customize his iPhone 4 in a unique way, so he decided to make it look like a Leica M9. This is one of the neatest looking cell phones I’ve seen.
To make the stickers for the front and back, Joey took a stock photograph of an M9, and modified it in Photoshop to fit the dimensions of the iPhone 4. Read the rest of this entry »
Behind the Scenes of Annie Leibovitz Shooting Sean Connery for Louis Vuitton
Not a bad look at behind the scenes. Sean Connery and Louis Vuitton, two faves in my book. Looks like she is shooting with a Canon 1D mark iii or mark iv.

Spent quite a few days at Comic-Con shooting stills and video. Decided to throw most of the footage I shot into a video for all the dudes on YouTube.
Another video I put together from Comic-Con of the DiggNation Live Taping with Mike Relm. Mike’s an amazing guy and had a blast hanging out multiple nights during Comic-Con.
The latest measurement of influence online is apparently being undertaken by Fast Company with their latest Influence Project. I am always interested on new ways of calculating and determining influence online so I gave it a try. Immediately I realized there was a problem as did a good amount of others calling it a “popularity contest” or “PR for Fast Company”.
